Frankly Frankenstein

Friends , it's utterly true that we want to progress but how much is too much is the small question in this big wide world. As technology tangents to a whole new level, each passing present profoundly preaches that what is done is a way too small and what's coming is the next best. As information become less informed to humans and more to robots it's quite a difficult phase that we humans are stepping into. As a part of the coder's life,  I live each new day writing scripts that would automate a thing or two. It's hay day for many like me but presumably, we are preparing an invisible workforce that surely would rise up and question our existence. So you may ask, it's early days of. AI. And it's a long way to go. So not to worry as you sip that coffee. It may sound more like a SciFi flick, but rest assured the future is closer than we think. With bots becoming commonplace, soon we will have "fleshless friends", who will know you before you ...

equation of equality

It has been increasingly evident with time that the fight for equality is profoundly on. The roar rocks one with its reckless rebuke when either sex embarks on proving a point.  The society at large likes the notion of  " M = W " [ where ' M ' signifies 'man' and ' W ' being 'woman' ] The equation is simple and straight, but somewhere it remains un-understood and this failure to understand fuels for a greater unequal society, where respect trail rebellion. So, let's look back to the equation once again and this time with the intention of changing it a bit. The perception of equality doesn't lie in standing apart and comparing but it's more about standing together and working through life. So keeping this thought in mind the equation could be changed as: " MW = p " [here 'p' is constant and referred as 'partnership'] Everything that we accomplish in life is an individual part played to achie...

manipulative alphabet

What you think and what you say was never the same. At times it may, but never always. Some things which are quite predominant but hastily stated otherwise. Maybe it has a reason in a situation or for that matter just showing one in high light. What ever be the case there is always a “ manipulative alphabet ” hanging nearby.  So, should we use that “alphabet”? Well friend, anything that is done without hurting, is allowed. Quite diplomatic huh!. Can’t help, actually that’s what “freedom of speech” is. Well talking about “freedom of speech”, recently there was a roar about this and in the process we could see and hear a lot of brouhaha. For a moment, I also thought of pitching in with my so called “expert comments” but later decided that let the topic settle down and marinate. Sorry to sound like a self proclaimed chef but you get the point. “the pointless fight”, “the in for injustice lot”, “the careless and proud to be carefree”, “the deceptive dominance”, “the cham...

red but not wine

Hello friends, it’s been quite sometime from my last blog post, actually got busy with some stuffs on the personal front. Anyways, how are things going in the early days of this new year, oh yes, just forgot…anyways “ Happy New Year ” to you and your family. Today’s topic is not as bright as you may be expecting it to be, as it’s just the beginning of this year and almost all will try to keep it bright and happening. My inner self would definitely want that way, but the greater exterior that we all live in is not that bright at all. My indications are profoundly towards the bloodshed and hatred that prevails around. As I think, letters gets jiggery. I don’t know what to write or even have a feeling that things may not work out as time has changed now and writings no more leave behind legacy of impressions to follow and be guided by. It’s that time of the year when celestial of celebrations cover the sky. It’s fun and frolic that captivates our senses and as I celebrate ...

appetite for difference

Hello friends, loads of wishes to you and your family for the festive season. It’s always been in my life that I had to do something and that something if it’s different it’s significant. This uncanny truth haunts me at times as I strive further for that act of difference. But I guess that’s how life is, it challenges you and silently demands for unique and different actions and outcome, and this acts as a instrument for inspiration. From the mundane to the classic we try to add that pinch of difference as we strive to sail through life. But have you wondered there are also many things surrounding you that do their deeds the same way ever since origin but still they get appreciated and praised (may be for not being different). Sorry for sounding philosophical, I am just trying out this so called “appetite for difference” topic and till now, my performance is very shabby. Take 2: So what I was saying is, lets say “ sunrise ” it’s the same way it happens and if you...

the past antonym

Hi Friends, Whats Up? Today I am thinking of taking you guys through a wonder walk into a day in the future. Well, not by force, but if you will. The future is shaping up so fast that I found it utterly hard to visualize how more futuristic future could be. So let me try & lets get started. It’s just dawn, and I am busy finishing up the climax of my dream, as I cozily grip my pillow which has by now travelled a long distance from my head and now between my legs. I suddenly get a gentle tap on my back which I momentarily thought it to be a continuation of my dream, but a tad later I realised that it’s “ASIMO - the robot from Honda”, my helping mate. It’s been a month that he is with me, and I tell you, he is family.  As I woke up from my dream and start realising the environment around, the giant digital wall embrace me with the weather, appointments and important activities that are lined up for the day. Everything looks perfectly set, ju...

the introspect

I forgot when I last saw something quite far, you know trying to look beyond the horizon, hills, mountains or a landscape. I forgot when I last took a lung full of fresh air or shouted out loud facing the vast empty abundance. Forgot when I last met friends in person and wished a hi or a hello, until and unless it’s a mere coincidence.  I know, why it’s so, I am unable to see beyond horizon because cloud hugging skyscrapers now are more matured, pollution from the mini to the mammoth have made the air thick with toxic and a wish to a friend is always a status update using those infinite fashionable chat apps. The other day I woke up at night grasping for breath, it was a dream, O boy, I saw, I was unable to recognise my voice because I hardly speak the way I use to be or my handwritings, they have just changed and looks like a unknown but never to be used font-face. You can also try out this writing experiment, if you are lucky enough to find a pen and a paper handy to sc...

chariot of charity

Hello friends, How is life? As you by now have got an idea about today's topic from the title, hmm yes you rightly guessed, it talks about charity in all it’s forms. In midst of the hatred that we live in, there is also an existence of a parallel world that cares about the wellbeing of humanity. From the nimble to the noble cause, there are people who come forward with the only intension to help. Initiative like the #‎IceBucketChallenge that is working towards raising fund for “The ALS Association” by means of playing a silly game, or for that matter the “ (RED) ” initiative, which works towards saving babies born with HIV. Or it may be the thousands of CSR activities carried out in India and abroad. All have one thing in common, and that’s the attitude to help. Technology plays a very pivotal role in this movement by helping the awareness grow like wild fire using platform such as social media etc. You know, I always had this revolting attitude towards peop...

flamboyant

Hello friends, how are things going? In the world of technology, there is no two days similar in whatever which way we look at it. A light bulb controlled by in-board switches gets replaced by bluetooth enabled devices the next day. It’s sometimes funny but most of it is utterly awe stuck. And thinking about technology with a class, there is only one company that comes to my mind, and that’s Apple. Sorry, if I hurt your sentiments with this comment. But jokes apart, I truly believe whatever Apple does, there is a style and story to it. Yes, they do have a flamboyant attitude towards things, but boy look how they execute each product or something very small as creating an ad for their product.  I am not sure if you guys got a chance to see the “ You’re more powerful than you think ” Apple ad’s. They simple depict class and depth of their technology and a hint for endless opportunity. I hear people talk about Apple loosing ground on innovations after Steve Jobs, we...

even-steven

Hello friends, what’s up? And how is the Fifa turning out as we advent to the knockout stages of the game. One thing for sure, the teams who are loosing out are doing so with head high. This post, just like any other past posts of mine will talk about technology. Being a technology lover I closely follow the changes that are taking place in the tech horizon. It’s a treat living in this innovative era and fascinated by the twists & turns that every new technology brings with it.  Recent times saw some exciting releases from technology giants like Google & Amazon and I am really thrilled by what I saw.  To start with Amazon, they released there first mobile phone named “ firePhone ”. You may ask what’s different and I will be quick to say there’s many. " Dynamic Prospective ", with this it helps in locating users position with respect to the phone and the phone UI could be interacted by simple tilt gestures, nifty huh. Next, “ FireFly ”, thi...

We are close

Hi  friends, how are you all doing?    Thing’s have changed a lot since my last post. We have a bright time in Indian democracy. We elected a leader with a full majority in parliament, and we hope that our hopes ( which are tons of them ) juxtaposed, get's fulfilled.  We see, with the help of Gates Foundation, Polio is eradicated from our land and very soon will be from the world. They also are philanthropically involved in many other nobel cause and I take this opportunity to salute them. On a lighter note, we now have a selfie of our earth. “Wolfenstein”, the popular 1992 game returns with “ Wolfenstein - The New Order ”.  And the world sees the discovery of the new trending emoji ¯\_( ツ )_/¯ …it’s called “shruggie” Never the less, I feel that there is a paradigm change in the attitude world over and it gives me a “ high five ” feeling. ...and as John Lennon imagines & I quote " You may say I'm a dreamer  But I'm not t...

Me hungry very very

Hello friends, how is it going? Well I am back after a break. Today's topic is quite strange, but at the same time deals with a very common activity we humans do for a living " EAT ". I can see your eyebrows contracting in strange need of not going any further in this article. Well, but hold on, something interesting lies ahead. From my very early days I realised that I am a " foodie " ( very proud ). This is something that do not require any specific skill-set as such and solely depends on the creators of it. It also comes with the power of commenting hard on something which do not satisfy the taste buds or occasionally giving some expert tips on quantity of salt, pepper etc. But, today's article is not about discussing my life's smart choices but about a technology that for sure is going to change the very essence of food, it's preparation, and it's no less than a revolution. I know for the first time you are getting some interes...

So Big Data

… a different perspective. We are fortunate to see the technological change (limiting myself to software) in front of our eyes. It's so wonderful that each change in technology brings with it sophistication and features, and which in turn help the developer community to transform an idea into reality. On the other hand these technologies/framework also has a name, and when you hear it for the first time in your wildest guess you will not understand what it's all about. "Pascal" it sounds like a name, "Cobol", "Foxpro"; well not sure what these can be and out of the many terms, the best of the lot is "C"; it's not even a word. This trend didn't change with today's languages and technologies as well. "Java", "C#", "Cocoa" to name a few. And according to me we also have a contender here too, "Ruby on Rails", it sounds like a story. There can be others, but for the first time ...

Real but Augmented

We are really moving at rocket speed when it comes to technology. Every passing day introduces a subtle but vital trend empowering one to achieve more. Today I would briefly talk about " Augmented Reality " ( oh yes, I know you heard it some where ). It's a live, view of a physical or real-world environment whose elements are augmented (or supplemented) by computer/mobile generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics, GPS etc. To be more simpler, your mirror image is your augmented self. This technology exposes one to experience almost real life objects using a virtual medium. The potential to this is paramount. The interactivity it induces could be used in teaching kids for instance, it may be how the volcanic eruption happens, phenomenon of reactions when different chemicals are mixed and all these without being physically at the place of occurrence. So using some special apps notably on your iOS or Android phone, one can view a specific image in...

tic-Tech-toe

It sounds like an interesting point in the world of technology where innovations almost covering the complete spectrum of life which ever way we see. And it's not only about today, the coming days will be equally interesting and breathtaking. To start with "Apple". This company has been up to an innovation spree, and so just looking at the link will give a fare idea of the patents this company has filed and these patents will be a reality in the days to come in the form of Phone, Tablet, TV, Watch or a complete new product line. Slowly but silently "Samsung" is also coming up with some really cool innovations in the field of flexible displays under the brand name " YOUM "  thus introducing to the world a whole new form-factor with endless possibilities. So, as Google gears up with "KitKat" the next Android OS after "Jelly Beans" and also it's much awaited Google Glass , Motorola with it's latest phone " ...

Small Talk

Well I am not talking about the objective-oriented programming language developed by "Alan Kay" and Co. at Xerox and a later inspired version form Apple, but it's something more. In this fast moving world, many things change and mostly without a trace. But there are some changes which gets noticed when we accidentally start thinking about it. One of such subtle change has happen to the language we speak. To bring a larger perspective to this notion, lets step into the question of why we have languages?  Well to easily say it, "Language" helps us to express our thoughts and feelings with others". Now, you may wonder what's so new about it and even today and also the day's to come, people will continue to do the same. Well friend, the point here is how we say or speak the language of our choice. It doesn't mean that it is not expressive or correct today, but it is just that depending upon our own convenience we change it and thu...

Ctrl+P

It really takes a lot of hard work and dedication to create a sculpture. The visible creations that we could see are now only limited to pottery or even the Hindu Goddesses during the yearly affaire or for that matter the last visit to a archaeological site or an ancient temple. The visual art creation all started many many years back around (24,000–22,000 BC), " Venus of Willendorf ", " Lion man of the Hohlenstein Stadel " to name a few from that time. Time moved on and the world got to see many a wonder notedly " Michelangelo's Moses ", " Moai from Easter Island ", " Nuremberg sculptor Adam Kraft ", " Venus de Milo ", " Michelangelo, The Statue of David ", " Ashoka Pillar, Vaishali, Bihar " and many more. The fast paced life has also brought some radical changes to life and the latest addition to it is 3D Printing .  3D Printing is a process of making a three-dimensional solid object of virtua...

Watch Keeper

This was originated from the word woecce which meant "watchman", because it was used by town watchmen to keep track of their shifts. Yes you guessed it right, today's point of discussion is "watches".  You may be curious by now, why such a topic? I don't have time but I do have a watch. Well, never ever did "Peter Hele" knew during the 15th century that his invention would in the 21st century spread that ripple around.  Here comes iWatch, supposedly the next big venture from Apple. Well, it's not only Apple who wants a pie of it, but joining with equal pride are the guys from "Pebble", "Sony", "MotoACTV" and many more. And why not, the trend is catching up like wild-fire and you never know it may just peek from your sleeves when some asks you "What's the time by your iWatch?" … till then keep exploring ...
